One is stamping. Use your own clay stamps or plaster stamps and even items from nature such as shells, pine cones and leaves or even cloth. The easiest way may be that to use button which can repeatedly used and easy clean. Leaves may be just used as one time but the vein texture is different with each other and you can not find a same one any more.
Stamping on the clay can be a vivid texture on the surface. The objects texture is straightforward right into the clay.
At last, carve borders or trim lines to frame the stamping texture in your design and wait for the bisque ware to dry. Finally, you would get a ceramic ware with concave or convex texture design. No matter fire it, glaze it or just dry in the air, the texture on the ceramic is still so impressive.
